help!!!! startup prob vmm32.vxd24 Dec 2003 20:49 GMT3
first of all i had an error say missing vmm32.vxd, so i
copyied all of the .vxd files of my cd onto the computer.
That fixed the vmm32.vxd problem, but after that a
thousand error messagers saying:
IE5.5 always starts with Windows Update Page instead of Home Page24 Dec 2003 20:27 GMT15
Whenever I open IE5.5 lately it always goes to the Windows update page
instead of the designated Home page.  If I click on the "Home page" icon it
goes to the correct home page (ca.msn.com).  What is also peculiar is that
the Windows Update page always tells me I have a critical ...
system date resets to january 4 198024 Dec 2003 20:22 GMT1
after shutdown my system date resets to january 4 1980
i correct the date but it reverts back to this date?
anyone have a fix???

Other than a driver can someone tell me the function of
Triedit.dll?  Mine seems to be corrupt.  If it's important
where would I download a good driver to replace it?

I currently have Windows98 not 98SEand as such I do not have the USB
drivers. I am trying to install broadband with am Alcatel modem and the
system says it does not have any USB drivers. Where can I obtain these
drivers???? Once obtained presumably the install new hardware ...

On christmas day I am getting a new laptop and I would
like to put some picture on it to show my family. When I
try to 'burn' the files onto a CD-RW it only recognises
the CD as a CD-R and wont write onto it.

old)....and just started getting Windows Error message on
Norton System Dr screen, that can't be corrected via

Have version 7, keep downloading series 9 and installing
it, but when I go into WMP help and check version, it
still shows v-7.  I downloaded some Christmas music, which
will play on WMP but when I try to copy to cd I get a

After I installed logitech webcam in my old 98 computer,

When trying to install a printer that is connected to
another computer to be accessed via router, the install
stops responding after I click on the 'browse for network

I have recently bought a wireless Firewall router and set
it up with my main computer to share cable internet and
drives and a printer with a newly purchased and installed
computer for the kids. Internet side of things is fine on

I have a Realtek network card and am running windows 98 SE.
When i start windows 98, it takes about 4-5 minuts to
finally boot, but if i start it with the network card
removed or disabled it starts up normally in 30-40 seconds.
