After reformatting and ghosting from a working computer,
the redone computer has many issues.  Boot into normal
mode is normal, but every time it is booted into safe mode
the registry checker finds an error, even if it was just

Recently had to have a replacement of my motherboard. Soon
after I started re-using my computer, I hada couple of
instances where the shutdown procedure was immediately
followed by a re-start.  Now, it happens every time I try

I have win 98 and win 98 SE (2nd disk) loaded on computer.
Recently formatted C drive and reloaded both 98 and 98se
disks. "A" drive starts running all by its self. This
brings the computer to its knees, really slows down. Is

when rebooting windows 98 pc all I get is a green screen
but no programs load and there is no start button.
Nothnig, no icons, task bar, start button.
what could be the issue ?

When I boot into safe mode I get a error , nsufficient memory to
initialize windows , quit one or more memory resident programs or remove
unnecessary utilities ect .. Ideas .. Total

That would be my reason for upgrading using my 3.9GB with
additional space added on, so I am told. I download music
and do a few other simpleton things. "Updates I like alot."

 My wife and i read that windows 98 was being deleted or
discontinued in january of 2004! Is this true and what are
we to do?, us who have had it for years and can't really
afford to replace it?

What I type is ever so slightly delayed being displayed on

I have no sound when I play recorded music on my WMP 9. I
have another  player & I get sound from that with no
problem. The WMP appears to be playing, just can't hear
it.  I am using W98 first ed. I had a problem over the

my computers screen resolution and colours wont change
from 16 colour and 640x480. i have windows 98 installed.
