When I try to sign on Windows 98 I get an error message.  
It says WAOL at the top.  There are 2 options, to close
or details.  If I hit close it goes back to the desktop,
if I hit details then the message comes up WAOL caused a

I am attempting to run some legacy software circa 1997. I
am attempting to Restart in MS-DOS mode but process
stalls. The Message "Locate Free PCI Resourses for
Creative Audio card. . ." And then nothing. Any help?

I have a 2yr. old Gateway Solo 2550 with FPD, TFT. The
screen flickers slightly but gets worse and worse till the
entire screen goes pure white. I have a CRT hooked up at
same time and CRT has no prblems.

I recently reloaded Windows 98 second edition and now my
computer takes a long time (about 8 minutes) to completely
boot up. There is a very long pause from the time the
McAfee Virus screen shows and the rest of the icons show
downgrading to Windows 9830 Dec 2003 23:48 GMT1
I recently just upgraded my old pentium II thinkpad from
98 to windows 2000. It runs extremely slow now. How do
I "downgrade" it back to Windows 98?

Instead of starting up to the windows98 desktop I would
like to start up strictly to the Internet Explorer. In 95
there was a registry entry were you could change the shell
from explorer to your own launcher. Any help is appreciated

Keep getting message that my default mail client is not
properly installed.  I have outlook express and when I go
into Internet Explorer, Tools, Internet Options, Programs,
it is listed.  Can anyone tell me what else I need to do?

I am using a dell computer about 3 years old. I have
windows98 installed. When I am logging off I get an error
message that reads "Error: no security vectors installed"

My os is win98, my problem is when i leave the computer on it will go to
sleep and I can not wake it up.  The only way to correct the problem is to
pull the plug.  Any help would be appreciated.

When I restart the computer, I get an error message that
reads "Iedll" and another error message that
reads "Loader".  Every once in awhile I get an error
message that reads "Syslib".  Any ideas?

says that an illegal program has been run and the settings
colours do not go beyond 16 colours. Can I get step by
