I'm unable to access registry,the system config unitlity
and sometimes the control panel. Problem started when my
norton internet security and anti virus wouldn't run. I
uninstalled Norton but couldn't access the registry. When

we have a few 98 computers, they always worked nice, but 2 months ago our

Can not boot windows (98 SE). Error is "Invalid System
Disk; Replace...etc". When using a Startup disk, puts
diagnostic tools on Drive D. Can not boot into SafeMode.

I can't use my control panel. i have a corrupted
rundll32.exe. I have tried to restore from cabs and from
win98se disc. says it can't find it. any way to download a
non- corrupt rundll32.exe file ?

I have a friend's computer that I have taken on the task
of fixing.  They were initially running W95 and upgraded
to W98.  They had no problems for a long time and then
they started downloading a lot of things off the internet

all of a sudden my computer is giving me a "explorer

Hi,
We just bought an HP printer for my wife Dell lap top P3 running Window 98,
unfortunately her lap top didn't have enough memory space on it, so she
deleted a whole bunch of programs that she doesn't use.  We discovered after

I have a file on my desktop, I have no idea how or when it
got there btw. It is a box with a windows symbol on it.
The name of the file is just a '~' (without the quotes). I
have scanned it with AVG and it says there is no virus. I

I recently upgraded my system using a second hand motherboard + CPU and the
rest of new components , the specs are :
Asus CUSL2 motherboard + intel 866 Mhz CPU
