When I try to start Win 98 I get the error: "While
initializing device NDIS. Windows protection error. You
need to restart your computer. I have reinstalled
Windows. NDIS seems to be associated with a network card.

I have a computer I'm working that will not perform scan

installed......and the puter just locks up and won't load

Every so often when I have to reboot my computer I get an
error saying Windows could not access the system registry

Hello, I had to reinstall windows 98 se after what i guess
was a virus. I had some programs backed up to a cd via cd
burner and the windows back up program.
I've reinstalled my old programs from the origional cds.

I am using on my desktop the Windows 98 background but when I shutdown my
computer before it shutdown the Setup background will show up, the same
thing when I boot up to Safe Mode the Setup background will be there. Why?

I keep my mp3's in a desktop folder 'Music' and I keep our
pictures in a desktop folder 'pictures'. Obviously, these
are both very large. Will this adversely affect the
computer's performance? Is there a better place to keep
