When I try to start Win 98 I get the error: "While initializing device NDIS. Windows protection error. You need to restart your computer. I have reinstalled Windows. NDIS seems to be associated with a network card.

Hello, I had to reinstall windows 98 se after what i guess was a virus. I had some programs backed up to a cd via cd burner and the windows back up program. I've reinstalled my old programs from the origional cds.

I am using on my desktop the Windows 98 background but when I shutdown my computer before it shutdown the Setup background will show up, the same thing when I boot up to Safe Mode the Setup background will be there. Why? Solomon
