I was upgrading my computer from 98se to 2000, it was just
a upgrade not a clean install, but its when wrong when...
it does everthing ok untill its gets to the last part were

I am trying to find the Win98 Registry keys that control the "Play
Reminders" sound in Outlook97 options.
I have searched the Registry for keys containing "Reminder" and have
found these two keys:-

It seems I found the culprit at last! I scanned with housecall and found the
following virus:
"HTML ADVERT.A - Non Cleanable C:\Windows\System32\Security....."

one of the kids loaded some copied software onto
computer/cannot find original cd with win98 on and need to
relaod factory settings.changing display / appearance to
windows standard makes no difference. this copied cd also

I get this error message often, when on the internet:
msgsrv32 not responding. This is driving me crazy. I have
tried many answers on the internet to fix it without any
luck. PLEASE help.

After booting PC the following error displays, and I have
no access to my icons or menu options due to the message
display. Can't get rid of it, just continues to pop-up.
