I have two questions for you. First, How can I protect

the folder??

Recently I had some trouble with a cranky on-board

Every time windows 98 loads appears a windows network
password...I don't want to see this message every time.How

My pointer/system freezes for 10 seconds at times.  
Everything just stops...and begins working normally
again.  I run defragmenter/scandisk weekly and nothing
seems to relieve this constant annoyance.

How can I clear the "NAMED" section of the "Find Files"
operation?  I want to sell the computer "as is" but I

Question on a PIII computer originally supplied with win98FE and two
USB ports. If this box is upgraded to XP will the original ports still
function only as USB 1.1 and will additional USB hardware be required
(a PCI board, for example) to function as USB2?

My nonprofit has a donated Armada with a corrupted Win98. No CD Key was
provided, (no OS sticker on the laptop. Therfore, reinstalling 98 from the
CAB files on the HD is fruitless. VER shows 4.10.1222 as the OS.

For some unknown reason, when they replaced my smaller hard drive for a
larger one, they gave my CD-ROM the letter "M" instead of "D".  This causes
confusion, from always remembering the CD-ROM being "D"... How do I change
it to "D"?     Thanks

Does anyone know what an open db error # 429 means, and
how do I correct it?  I get this message when I try to
load a program, and it says active x component cannot
create object.  Can anyone tell me how to fix this?
