I currently let Win98 control the size of my swap file automatically,
but recently performance has degraded noticeably, even though I
rebuilt Win98 in January using the same procedures that I have
followed before.

I used to have PGP, but removed it because it caused too many problems. I
have however recently found that some files remain here ...
c:\windows\system\ [files]
The files in question are PGPdkServ.exe ... PGPsdk.dll ... PGPsdkNL.dll ...

When Windows starts, I get a dialogue box saying enter
password for network. This box has popped up ever since
my dad installed a router. This router is connected so
that we can share a modem but we don't share computers.

after a few minutes of startup my display seems to shrink
from the bottom up, and my whole taskbar disappears with
it. The top part of my screen looks as per normal, i can
even click on the icons and they will run. but the bottom

My system clock looses more ad more time these days. It is
so bad that even if I set it the day before it is innacurate.
If the computer was off I would suspect the battery on the
motherboard but I keep the computer on almost all the time.
