I cant access my control panel. I tried using sfc could
not find file from cabs or disc. the file has 0kb. is
there an other way to download non corrupt rundll32.exe
file to my computer.

Over the next few months, I intend starting to transfer some old recorded
material (mostly speech) from cassettes (and open-reel tapes if I can find a
machine to play them) over to hard drive as a means of transferring them to
CD-ROMs for archiving.

I have 2 comps networked and sharing a printer. What exactly can I do
if I enable file sharing? For example comp A has a bunch of mp3 files
but no CD burner. Comp B has a CD burner. Can I burn the mp3 files
from A with B? I have instructions on setting up file sharing and have

In Detail View, no icons appear, just the count of items
at the bottom of the window.  In the other 3 views the

to phase out the Windows 9x code and that is why she thinks that hotfix
support ended on 12-31-03 for Windows ME and its components instead of

Trying to clean install win98 on laptop. Already ran fdisk
and format on laptop. The problem is that I can either
connect the cdrom drive or the floppy drive in the modular

Can anyone tell me how to get 256 colors on my PC. I Have
re-installed win98 SE about a month ago and now can only
get 32 colors. This means that viewed web pages are
blurred, particularly the pictures.

mouse "dissappears" for days on end and I get the "error
message"......"Cannot locate vmouse.vxd that is needed to
load the mouse drivers (code 8)".
