i have this computer that will not go to windows it stops
at the startup menue. "the place where one is given the
choses of 1)normal, 2)safe mode ect... i tried to let it
just work the kinks out itself and i a message that read

I tried to install a CD for my grandson.  The CD told me
to change the resolution.  I did so and immediately got

I have Win98 with Service Pack 1, but why does every hard
drive I see in the stores say it requires Win98 SE??

Thanks Brian it worked.Another small problem has arisen
my monitor goes black after a while,have adjusted the
refresh frequency several times from 100HZ to 60HZ but
still the same,any ideas.

I installed for my brother the sp1 for win98se. During the
installation the pc re-booted.
When I try to re-install Sp1 the system tells me to re-start the
computer because the product has been installed.

How  do I upgrade my W98 to W98SE,  and where do I get a W98SE CD?
Is there a 'how to',  help anywhere?

    I was wondering if you had any luck in convincing Microsoft to make
this fix for Windows Media Player 9 for 98SE since 98, 98SE, and ME are now
all under the same final security support phase.  Are there any other areas

I just formatted my computer and installed Windows 98.  I tried to change
the screen area size, but it won't change from 640 X 480.  Can someone tell
