i have this computer that will not go to windows it stops
at the startup menue. "the place where one is given the
choses of 1)normal, 2)safe mode ect... i tried to let it
just work the kinks out itself and i a message that read

I recently looked into the innards of my pc and was astonished to see it has a 185 kHz processor; it
is five years old. In view of the phenomenal frequencies of modern CPU's have they really increased
by such a rate or have the specifications been recast? I can't see any difference ...

I tried to install a CD for my grandson.  The CD told me
to change the resolution.  I did so and immediately got

I have Win98 with Service Pack 1, but why does every hard
drive I see in the stores say it requires Win98 SE??
Please help.

Thanks Brian it worked.Another small problem has arisen
my monitor goes black after a while,have adjusted the
refresh frequency several times from 100HZ to 60HZ but
still the same,any ideas.

I installed for my brother the sp1 for win98se. During the
installation the pc re-booted.
When I try to re-install Sp1 the system tells me to re-start the
computer because the product has been installed.

Thanks to whomever it was that mentioned Avast when I was

I just formatted my computer and installed Windows 98.  I tried to change
the screen area size, but it won't change from 640 X 480.  Can someone tell
me why and how I can fix this?

When I start up my PC, I am getting a msgsvr32 error
right after the "Windows Network" login pop-up is
displayed.  The message says that msgsvr32 caused a fault
in module <unknown>.  When I cancel out of the message,

to open photos with IE.  I right clicked on a jpg file and was going to
