I've just started experiencing the following problem on a Win98SE machine:
When I try to run telnet, msconfig or winipcfg (ping works) in a dos box, I get
the error message "This program cannot be run in DOS mode."
I did a full system scan with Norton 2002.  Virus definitions are up ...

Pandasoftware deleted 65 infected files and obviously some
of these run "stuff" so currently cant use settings, just
comes up files missing also "notepad " is gone so I cant
run some other programs, cant run  'REGEDIT" CANT GET IN

Whenever I right click on a file my PC freezes for at least 30sec before
opening the right click menu . This happens every time.
