Cant work in window as I get this fault message. Started

I have been trying to play 3D games but my computer only
supports hardware accelerated Direct 3D 7, not 3D 8 or 9,
which are usually required for games.
My question, how do I upgrade to 3D 8 or 9?  My display

I've got a Windows ME computer that is acting very strange. If I have
a window open with scroll bars in it or drop down selections, the
computer just starts randomly scrolling up and down or it starts
making selections in the combo box it's open.

Have been finding 'rundll' with explorer and systray on list when using
alt+ctrl+del.
Start>find shows only rundll.exe, rundll32.exe and runhelp.cab.
Don't know what rundll is or when or why it started showing up.

I am getting an error message 38427; A valid dll file was
not found. Windows is now deleting file. What the heck does
that mean?

I keep getting the message "access to the specified
device, path, or file is denied" when I click on any of
the icons in the control panel!!
Can someone help me rectify this, it's quite frustrating!!

When I try to read or write or format my floppy drive, the system seems to shut down - the monitor looks like it went to sleet and I have to hold in the power button till the PC shuts off.  Then I have to shut off the surge protector and wait a few minutes before I can restart ...

I used to have the internet connection dialog box appear whenever I
would start an application that connects to the internet (via
Dial-Up). Lately, however, it started appearing when I start the
computer too... In the Control Panel | Internet Options | Connections

At the DOS prompt type "attrib -r ldpikk32.exe" (without the quote
marks); then you should be able to delete it.  A somewhat afer thing
to do would be to rename the mystery file rather than delete it: "ren
