I noticed that the Norton's antivirus from my Norton's Systemworks 2003 had been disabled.I tried to enable it but to no success. I tried to uninstall it but it wouldn't respond. I then decided to reformat my hard drive.

Ok, since I thought I was going to have to backup my HD I figured I would use the CD-RW for the backups, but it wouldn't recognize it so I could use it. I know at some point I really need to do backups. Any clues why its not

I sucessfully installed XP and now have a dual boot system. Thanks to the people here that gave me very solid advise. I have already posted in the XP NG on some problems. But the differance in the two NGs are very noticable.
