I noticed that the Norton's antivirus from my Norton's
Systemworks 2003 had been disabled.I tried to enable it
but to no success. I tried to uninstall it but it wouldn't
respond. I then decided to reformat my hard drive.

Ok, since I thought I was going to have to backup my HD I
figured I would use the CD-RW for the backups, but it
wouldn't recognize it so I could use it. I know at some

I sucessfully installed XP and now have a dual boot system.
Thanks to the people here that gave me very solid advise.
I have already posted in the XP NG on some problems.
But the differance in the two NGs are very noticable.

i use Win98, and i don't know the screen saver password.
what happen was that screen saver popup before anything
started and don't hv any chance to disable the screen
saver.

Hi--I'm beginning to have serious problems with my pc.  My computer went
into a surface scan that took about 30 hours.  I'm getting all sort of
illegal operations messages and page fault messages.  It won't shut down
properly.  One message said the operating system couldn't be ...

I Just reinstalled Win98se and now my quick launch barwill
not keep my Q/L buttons in the order I put them after
reboot. And it also hides all but 4 of the buttons after
