If I upgrade from Windows 98 to Windows XP Home Edition,
what do I loose?  I understand I will keep all data files
but do I loose all other programs installed on the
computer?  Or does it just overwrite Windows 98?

when i was removing an unwanted program i inadvertantly
removed the one next to it and it seems to be whatever
gives me sound, or at least the speaker icon that lets me
mute and control volume on my desktop toolbar.

An article in a PC magazine suggests going to Find/File
and folders: type in *.tmp in the "named" box and search
for temporary files to delete in drive C. Is it advisably

In My Documents, most .htm files are displaayed with the iexplore blue "e"
shortcut icon. However, I have other .htm files that are missing the icon,
but when I right click on Properties, the MS Front Page icon is displayed on
