If I upgrade from Windows 98 to Windows XP Home Edition,
what do I loose?  I understand I will keep all data files
but do I loose all other programs installed on the
computer?  Or does it just overwrite Windows 98?

when i was removing an unwanted program i inadvertantly
removed the one next to it and it seems to be whatever
gives me sound, or at least the speaker icon that lets me
mute and control volume on my desktop toolbar.

Hi.I've got my HDD partitioned.  My removable zip drive was J:.  Yesterday I
installed a program and set backup for data to be in J:.  Anyway, I notice
that J: has now become D, which screws up thinks a tad.  This kind of thing

Does anyone know what morze1.exe, bxxs5.dll, are? These
and several others have invaded my PC, running Windows 98,
via a Trojan Horse virus. I have been unable to delete or

Had some computer repair word done and now found a strange desktop icon
I havae never seen or heard of.
mcrepair (.exe). I trust the brackets will prevent it opening.

In My Documents, most .htm files are displaayed with the iexplore blue "e"
shortcut icon. However, I have other .htm files that are missing the icon,
but when I right click on Properties, the MS Front Page icon is displayed on
the General tab.
