every time i start my pc up i get a message like this

Recently I've been receiving an illegal operation error when running
any Setup.exe programs on my W98se system, w/1.2GHz Celeron and 256MB
RAM. I thought I might have a virus and ran a full system scan with
McAfee v6.0 with the latest updates and .dat files.The scan found

This just started happening the last week or so.When i go
to a new page as it downloads my mouse skips all over the
place and when i go to move it before the page finishes i
cant move it or it jerks around.That never happened before

I get the error Idle.dll was not found on starting Win98,
can I reset the registry?

when i try to run scanreg /fix it hangs up with 0% and
c:system/dat showing. i have to reboot the computer. when
i try to go back a day or two with the restore it tells me
that it failed to restore. this has just started happening

I have a Star Trek mouse, and it only gives instructions
for windows 95, which don't work on windows 98.  Thanks in

I got a new computer and had my Windows 98SE hard drive contents transferred
to that computer, followed by the appropriate adjustments by the dealer, who
