Something has happened to my computer & I don't have a clue as to where to
start. I have Icons on my desktop going to my hard drives (C, D, E) If I
click on one of them, it takes 10 seconds for it to open. If I click on "My
Computer", it also takes 10 seconds. Now the weird part, ...

I have several small pictures that I want to enlarge to a
decent size but when I expand them in word, paint or
photo editor they go all blurry, especially the writing
on them. Is a way I can enlarge them without them going

I have Win '98 SE and am getting the following message
when I click Start>Shut Down> and then Select the "shut
down" option and OK.

Need to restore display, went into settings and changed
the display trying to enlarge, went wrong way. Now I have
no display (black), and no way to change back, all my

My machine stalls when loading new software. When I hit
CNTL+ALT+DELETE, I get the message: wupdater(not
responding). When I remove wupdater, my machine
automatically goes through the normal shut-down sequence.

When I uncheck MSREXE.EXE in the win ini file. The
computer hangs and stutters. When I check the box it runs
ok. Should I delete the virus from the registry or is that
possible. Will it cause a problem?

I access a remote computer by using the Hyperterm program that came with my
Windows 98 machine.  It has worked in the past but recently I am able to log

My computer was infected by a virus, probably the trojan
coolsearch.  I rooted it out with Hijacker and help.  But
even that did not solve three problems:
1.  when I shut down, the machine hangs and posts an error

I get this when my computer crashes. Anyone know what I

I did a fdisk and reloaded my win 98se.  I have a bunch of
files missing and I also can't get my 256 color.  I only
have 2 and 16.  Where did my color go?  it makes some web
