While running this tool, file Capi2032.dll was found to be
damaged or corrupted. What problems can this cause? How
can I restore this file? Have the various updates for
win98SE changed it?

When the boot process begins, the Windows logo appears and
a few lines of the boot process then it just goes to the
command prompt.
Windows will not start in safe mode, when that option is

I was looking at the system information tool, and in the right side it
says The component which displays this information is not functioning
properly, or is not present on this machine".
It also crashes with the following error message:

I run the disk cleanup and defrag utilities on my
computers about once a week.  I also delete cookies and
downloaded files from the internet using the Tools -
Internet Options - Delete Cookies, Delete Files and Clear

I changed the wallpaper and colors of my screen (Dell
Latitude LT).  After that when I'm booting up (WINDOWS 98
SE) i receive three pop up messages after I've entered my
password:

When I wake my monitor up after it goes to standby there
is a error message on the monitor.  Title "ADVANED POWER
MANAGEMENT"  the message reads "your computer cannot go to
standby because a devise driver or program won't allow

In Safe Mode I get the following in bootlog.txt
Kernel32 NLS initialization failed
GDI32.DLL Failure cose is 0002
GDI.EXE Failure code is 0000

I really need some help!
EVERY TIME I boot up, I get a Rundll32 error message:  A
dynamic link library initialization routine failed.  I can
click OK and proceed.  SOMETIMES I get another error

Is there a recommended approach / set of tools for someone with reasonable
experience to get past occasional failures to boot or freezes?

When i use yahoo chatrooms i keep getting the error
message : YPAGER CAUSED AN INVALID PAGE FAULT IN MODULE
YPAGER.EXE and also in KERNELL32.DLL ....please let me
know if you can help.

I recently bought a USB 5-port PCI card to install on my
computer. I followed the installation procedure exactly as
written. However, my computer keeps telling me it cannot
locate the "openhci.sys" file to properly install the

Received a "windows protection error. you must restart your computer" error message. I have tried the following to fix the error in Safe Mode
- restoring my registry with a "scanreg/restore" command but tha
didn't help

Where to find the 1394 driver? I couldn't find it in my
win98 second edition CD. The 1394 PCI card I bought didn't
include the driver either. Thanks.

How can I get rid of Horizontal Lines on my screen when I
first bootup? They do go away after abt one minute. I was
told to take a screen shot of this and post it (Per-Fuzzy
Logic), but when I do everything is clean. It does not
