I recently had a new motherboard installed and now when I
shut windows down, the computer checks the A: drive
(floppy) before shutting down.  With the previous
motherboard, it did not perform that check.

My son got a new computer, and gave me his old one which is much newer than
my current system. It had ME installed on it, and I prefer win98. I
formatted the hard drive on it and installed win98. The display options on

Hey, folks:  Last night, after fixing a problem involving
my DVD-ROM and after loading some Adobe photographic
software on my Compaq Presario 5700T, running Windows 98
First Edition, I had trouble booting back into Windows.  

Anyone know of a download manager that will accept a txt file of links to download?

 I am trying to work on an old computer with win 98se. Everytime I try to
up grad to ie6 sp1 I get the message " A previous installation has pending
work requiring a reboot. You need to restart your computer

my anti virus AVG tells me i have a virus called java/byteverify and i have deleted the file three times that the virus is within but once i open explorer again i get the virus back. plzzzz help to sort this out.
