I have been trying to install fonts to a pc with no luck. Basically,
I copied the fonts file off of my PC to the local drive of another. I have
247 fonts installed on my system, and the PC I am trying to install on has

Windows 98 SE. All critical hot fixes are installed. This

I am trying to set the NoSaveSettings in the registry so
that the desktop settings are not saved on switch-off.  
Although I can change the registry setting it has no
effect.  Can anyone help!

Trying to bring up new 2.5ghz celeron pc using Abit V17
motherboard on window98.  I get error "while loading

I recently installed Freeserve broadband and now find I
cannot view the full explorer on the right hand pane as I
did before. I can select "C" drive and see all the files
(folders?) on the right hand pane, but not an over view

Made a mistake and restored my lost drivers by using an

While trying to solve a problem I have with IE6, I
searched my registry for the HKLM subkeys (using both
Regedit and SystemSuite).  I could not find ANY!  All I
found is two references to it as values.

Im having problems with my running programs.Every time i
start my computer i have a bunch of running programs.Is
there a way to close them automaticlly after they are done
running?

Is there a command that will go thru the entire computer
and list all files so that I can sort them in order of
size and see what's taking up all the space?

I'm trying to help my brother-in-law (far away) with resolving slow
performance of his Compaq Armada M700 Laptop. That laptop was a pretty
good machine a few years back, well rated, well made. Running Win 98
with 64 MB memory.

As soon as I start up Windows I'm allowed to enter my
password--then I am barraged with error messages stating
Windows has performed an illegal operation and will close.
Details tells me that it's a page fault in shell32.dll.

Hi Again. The blue 'e' shortcut has disappeared off my
desktop. How do I get it back? I know how to right click
and send to desktop as shortcut, but I don't know where to
find it in the first place. Thanks in advance for any help.

I have managed to turn on a notification process that when
an email is received from outside the company server I am
notified by text message the 1st few lines to the new
message.
