The recycle bin icon has disapeared from the desktop even though it appears in the desktop tree in explorer. I've tried copying it from the tree to the desktop but it will only let me create a shortcut which disoears of it's own

Is there a way to automate emptying the recycle bin from a dos box command? I have a cleanup routine which launches various commands within a batch (*.BAT) file in a DOS box. Would be nice to be able to empty the recycle bin from there too! Anybody?
