How do I backup my files to disk when I do not have backup
installed and I cannot find the download for it anywhere
on the the microsoft site?! Please, anyone who could help,

At startup, I keep getting 'BAD LONG FILENAME'.  It does
not seen to cause any problems, I just click 'OK'.  How
can I get rid of it?

I am trying to reinstall windows 98
When I try to fdisk I get no fixed disk found.
I tried using ZAP.exe to fix the drive, but it kept
erroring out.

I am working with a table, and I want all entries to be in bold, but what
happens when I go to the next box or cell I have to re click the bold
button. How can I have it stay on bold?

In my explorer folders, I used to have the option to
select thumbnail views in the property box of a folder.  
However, new when I select properties for any folder
(existing or new), I don't have the thumbnail option

password I provided does not work and I have only a blank
screen stating "incorrect password".  How do I resolve

ANy computer savvy folks out there that can help me. When

my error, a hotfix was referred to as available that will fix my problem.

Why when I write 1/2 or 1/4 word will change it to the fraction
format but not when I write lets say 1/8 or 5/8?

I disconnect all the leads on my computer in order to put
them into 'cable tidies'. When i reconnected it, the
startup fails to load 'my computer', ' my
documents' 'internet explorer' and any of the background

i thought when i put it on no one else would be able to
get to my desk top without the password, what a useless
password, it turns out anyone can just press "cancel" and
they have access to my desktop?

Slightly anal, perhaps, but I need this: Recently bought a
used PC w/98SE; How do I change the former owner's name to
mine, e.g., on Microsoft Word- "...licensed to (name)"?
