when i try to boot up.i get a message telling me an
incorrect sompression drive is installed and to install
the correct one. this is over my knowledge of computers.I
am new.I just got this computer as a gift.

everytime my computer boots up it comes up with a error
window that says - Error Starting Page-
         SVCHOST.EXE file
         is linked to missing export file WININET.DLL  

I installed a software package from the DOE that runs in an MSDOS window
and as far as I can see does not put anything in my startup group, my
win.ini file, or any of the registry startup locations. I have unchecked
the save desktop setting using tweakui.

installed this version many times before, but this time
when i right-click to create a folder or document, "NEW"
does NOT appear on the shortcut menu! It is also absent
