So, I downloaded the little bit of software, I think it was called OE simple
back up. I backed up the whole load on my 98 machine, swapped my hard drive
and restored it to my spare drive and it worked.
I recorded the backup onto a CD, and moved it over to my XP

I have an application named eqclose running that prevents
ScanDisk or Defragmenter from running.  If I end task,
they will run.  I've located the file in Explorer, but
when I right click Explorer shuts down.  How can I delete

Can anyone tell me if there's a jump drive out there that will run on
Windows 98? I was checking them out a few days ago and noticed that
they only run on 98SE & higher.

This has been an unbelievable problem to solve, but I think I've found
the solution (At least for Windows 98SE). It comes down to creating a
DWORD key, NOT a String key!
