I have an 802.11b wireless setup and the link quality is
around 33% (good) but the signal strength is 26% (poor).
Do I need a booster or some other hardware if my wireless
runs ok?

When I click onto Start Menu, and point to Documents, my
computer lists 15 files that I've recently opened.  I
would like it to only list 5 files.  How do I get Windows
to do this?

In my Windows 98, things like this are happening.  I'll delete a file,
but the file is still there.  Then I press F5 for refresh, and the file
is gone.  Or I'll rename a file, and it doesn't change, until I press
F5.  I've never had this happen before.

and they are not all temp. i got txt. doc., htm,exe, cab,

At login if you click cancel it load the desktop without
having to enter a password. How do I prevent that? I need
a way to prevent my kids from getting on my computer any
time they want.

I need major help. I have a Compaq Presario 5240 and I
recently had to use the Quick Restore CD that came with
it.  It set it back to factory settings.  I just noticed
today that when Windows 98 restarted I no longer have Word

Instead of Windows 98 showing my screen name when I sign
on, it shows (NULL) has just signed on.
How can I delete this (NULL) message and apply my screen

Closing all programs on Windows 98se.  Then, trying to
scandisk and then do disk defrag.  At scandisk it tells me
programs are open and keeps restarting.  If try to skip
scandisk and go to disk defrag, same thing is happening.

Home Page changes to "icanfindit" and puts porn links in
my favorites. "icanfindit" & "4-counter" entries are added
to registry. Has anyone experienced this and resovled it.
