I recently dual booted to 98se and xp. I am aware that there is a 'system volume information' folder in win xp. However I now have one on the drive that contains win98se as well and it grows daily !! Can I delete this folder from the 98se partition ?

I have a desktop PC running Windows 95 which I wish to upgrade to Windows 98 SE. I obtained a bona fide copy of Microsoft Windows98 (Second Edition) Upgrade, labelled as "for users of Windows 3.1x and Windows 95".

FYI, I remember tackling a really evil virus that formatted my roommate's hard drive and partitioned the drive to an 8 bit partition. Only two megabytes were left in the 32 bit partition and the Windows 98SE cd kept saying that it did not have enough space to install.
