Wow, it seems like such a long story but I will try to
stick to the facts.  First and foremost, I am a computer
dork, please use small words.  Okay, I had a Browser
Hijack and was frustrated with it and decided to search

My notebook has been getting "not responding" after system locks up and I
hit the ctrl/alt/del keys. Was working fine the last time I used the
notebook and now I get this today, all day. What's this file, and maybe what
could be the problem?

When opening Windows Explorer, immediately the screen displays a large box(Explorer but blank) in the top left corner of screen.  The computer locks and must be restarted/rebooted
Although this doesn't work, loading Windows Explorer while Windows is booting does seem to work for ...

I need someone's advice.
My computer, I guess like everyone's, as always given once
in a long while a fatal error or an error of a program
that if you try to run again immediately after works

Trying to copy files from a floppy to my Windows 98 computer, I get a
message:  "Cannot copy [filename].  System cannot read from specified
device."
Does this indicate a flaw in the floppy diskette itself, or something

Ihave a directory file that I loaded.  It has no files in
it and I want to delete it.  It is interfering with the
computer.  The computer won't let me delete it.  I tried a
delete and then tried to delete in the Find area.  

When I turn on my PC I get this message
Connot find the file Info32.exe
         and
Could not load or run Info32.exe specified in the WIN.INI

Am getting the message "memory access violation in
kernel32 at ****
What are my options

Something has gone terribly wrong.
Starting Win98se, (Gateway 750MHz, 30gig-ATA, 512Meg of
ram), needs startup disk. Disk boots to Windows via the
floppy in Safe Mode. Safe Mode shows no problems in System.

I have lost the my computer icon.  Cant find it with a
search or in explore.  Help.

Went to Control Panel>Display>Screen saver and selected
one of the screen savers that came with Windows 98 set the
time and Clicked OK.
So far no screen savers work.  No error codes, no crashes,

I was hoping that defrag was going to be intelligent when dealing with a
largely unfragmented disk but I woke up today to defrag trying to move all
my large files up about 500k. instead of filling the 500k with something
else or just leaving it there.

How do you clear a password that has be set to make it so
you can't go on the internet?

Using the maintenance wizard, when Disk Cleanup is run,
it stalls during the calculating stage at 50%.  It shows
that it "scanning old scandisk files in the root
folder".  It has stalled and given the same message
