My hard drive DIED, so I had to reinstall Windows 98 Second Edition and all my applications - no problem. However, when I installed QuickBooks for Windows 5.0C near the end it said:

When I start Internet Explorer (IE6), Windows Explorer starts also sometimes. I know this because my ZoneAlarm Firewall detects it. This usually happens when starting IE6 after PC startup and dialup to the internet. The IE6 startup page is set to blank.htm on my C: drive.

A new and somewhat strange behavior has started manifesting itself on my computer when opening .pdf documents with Adobe Acrobat Reader. It all works as it should and the documents open as expected. What happens however, is that when I double click a .pdf file on the C:\

During a fresh install of win98b "Newly formated HD" the computer freezes at the point of "Default Channel Setup". While I can boot into "Safe Mode" I cannot get past this point even after reboot.

Seems as though my computer settings do not like the images. I seem to be missing gif's in my ability to see the images. What settings can I use to change Win 98SE to accept gifs? I hate the red x's. I notice it more in IE 6

I have tried to reload win98se because of a problem I was having, for some reason it will not start loading. It gets to collecting info on the computer and gets no further, it doesn't freeze up but just sits there like a big dummy.
