I want to back up everything on my system on to a CD.  My
PC is not acting right and I want to back it up in case it
dies.  However, I do not the back up option in my
accessorie, system tools menu.  How and where can I obtain

I hope someone can help me.  The "Find Files or Folders
program is not working at all.  Everything else is
working just fine.  How can I fix this one program?

probably a stupid ????? I bought this comp from an indiv
and it seemed ok  i started looking at set up and there is
nothing really on it  when i try to apply certain items it
asks for the disk i do not have .... i am alse missing a

My hard drive DIED, so I had to reinstall Windows 98
Second Edition and all my applications - no problem.
However, when I installed QuickBooks for Windows 5.0C
near the end it said:

I keep getting error msg. and when I expand the msg. it
indicates that the user.exe is the problem. I can't find
anything on the MS site about it.
Can anyone help??

When I start Internet Explorer (IE6), Windows Explorer starts also
sometimes. I know this because my ZoneAlarm Firewall detects it.
This usually happens when starting IE6 after PC startup and dialup to
the internet. The IE6 startup page is set to blank.htm on my C: drive.

A new and somewhat strange behavior has started manifesting itself on my
computer when opening .pdf documents with Adobe Acrobat Reader.
It all works as it should and the documents open as expected.  What
happens however, is that when I double click a .pdf file on the C:\

I have Win 98SE. I Installed 2 Phantom software games and
each ran without a request to restart. One of them flashed
a screen about loading Direct X 8.1 Not even noticed. I
shut down for the evening and the next day all I got was

just reinstalled win98se went to windows updates to
download updates. you know when the download is complete
it auto installs, and tells you to reboot your computer!

During a fresh install of win98b "Newly formated HD" the
computer freezes at the point of "Default Channel Setup".
While I can boot into "Safe Mode" I cannot get past this
point even after reboot.

I get the following message when loading windows 98 2nd
edition.  In a "WJVIEW" dialogue box:  ERROR  Main:THe
specified file could not be found."
No particular operating problem except computer sometimes

Seems as though my computer settings do not like the images. I seem to
be missing gif's in my ability to see the images. What settings can I
use to change Win  98SE to accept gifs? I hate the red x's.
I notice it more in IE 6

I have tried to reload win98se because of a problem I was
having, for some reason it will not start loading. It gets
to collecting info on the computer and gets no further, it
doesn't freeze up but just sits there like a big dummy.
