Editing the start up script that is display on single step start up30 Apr 2004 00:13 GMT1
When I start win98 up it hangs.  I have to go the the
bootup menu and select single step and sequentially go
through the individual commands replying "Y" or "N" to
having them loaded.  I know the offending module that is

I have a Win98 machine that had an HP LJ4100 printer
attached to it. The printer was replaced by a different
printer so I used the HP uninstaller to remove the 4100
software. All seemed to go well with the uninstall. Now

Under Control Panel > Display Properties > Appearance: I want to change the Window Text font, but when I click on it, the Font field box is grayed and won't allow me to make any changes. Can anyone help me w/this problem? Thx, in advance, for any assistance provided.

Need to carry out tests that involve connecting to internet and get <<Error
666 ... no modem connected>>.
On checking modem settings get "no port" - should be on COM4.

I've got the Palmsync program installed on my Windows 98SE computer, but
it's deactivated most of the time.
Occasionally I'll suddenly see the little palmsync logo on the Win98
lower-right toolbar, and I'll see MOBSYNC.EXE on my task list (I use the

The letters in my "help" are almost unreadable because
they are so small. Can anyone tell me how to make them
normal size again so I can read the words, I have to guess
half of the words and for someone who uses "help" a lot

Is there a way I can restrict access to a Windows 98
system?  So far I know of now way to prevent a user from
just killing the login prompt window.  This may limit
access to networked resources, but not to the computer
