I keep getting this on my screen- Wtoolsa has performed an
illegal operation!!! I have tried "Ctrl-Alt-Del nothing
works- Appreciate help please

I upgraded from Internet Explorer 5.5 to 6.0 - miserable
failure as several files would not load. I reverted back

I'm unable to start up my PC. I think my harddrive is
full (C:\), and it's asking me to make space.
How do I do that if I can't start it up.
It won't go into Safe Mode.

I have just uninstalled Norton Anti-Virus from my W98SE PC. It had
about two years since any virus update. I have now installed a free
virus package from the web. The Norton uninstall had seemed relatively
trouble free but on booting my PC I now get an "Error starting

For reasons i cant explain the C:\Windows directory on my
pc insists on appearing on my desktop every time i boot..
this is a recent thing... I've used the system config
utility to diable startup group items and unchecking

I have installed a Belkin F5d5000 ethernet card but
the "add new hardware wizard" does not find the drivers
from the installation CD. It recognises the Win95 drivers
on the CD but, of course, they don't work! I have Win98

Hey, I wasn't sure which board to post this is in.
I am currently running Windows 98 SE and my computer is
royally screwed so I attempted to reformat.  Now, when I
restart in DOS mode to initiate the reformat all I get is

I have a dial up connection.  Modem is pci modem.  (Going to get a
serial modem later for Linux compatibility.)  What type of hardware
firewall do I look for?  Do you still need a software firewall?
Is a firewire a firewall.  Saw this at wal-mart.

Hello,
I had some spyware or something get installed on my
machine after visiting a website.
started acting very strange, I ran ad-aware and it found
computer clock display in corner stuck in AM (Win98)27 May 2004 12:39 GMT2
the computer clock always shows AM.......clicking on it to reset it opens window and both AM and PM appear (one under the other).........will not change to PM, stuck in AM (Win98).  Any help appreciated.
