On my kid's computer, running Win98, the CD-ROM drive stopped working
in Windows.  It would work fine in Linux, and there was no apparent
problem in the BIOS, but suddenly Windows decided there was no CD
drive.  I finally "gave up" and bought a different CD-ROM drive.

I have a Creative WebCamNX.  When I use the installation
CD, everything goes well until I come to the 32% part
where the device driver is installing.  It always stops

Saved some apps' (folders) to CD using above, but if I try to access a
file (*.exe) in a folder I receive an error:
WIN98SE Cannot Rename New Folder Access Denied31 May 2004 02:13 GMT6
When I try to create "cd1" folder (Right Click>
New>Folder) I get this message:Error Renaming File Cannot

sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the

is there any way I can find what file is missing, I used
the uninstall for real player and it appears to have
removed a shared file. Windows explorer, my commputer, my
