When ever I try to preview a sound from control panel
sound preview I get this error message about the file
being corrupt or something. However I know the wav file is

Hello; I am getting an error message on boot up that looks

I had to use the recovery disk that came with my old

I have lines going thru my monitor,and text is all

deskmenu.exe the other deskmenu.inf.  I've been running the .exe file
without any problems but noticed that I could install the .inf file.

I have an old laptop that has Win 98.  I would like to upgrade to SE so that
I can use a wireless card on it.  Is there an inexpensive way to upgrade or
does one need to purchase the complete package from MS?
What other benefits does SE have over FE?

I installed Encarta 2 years ago and until today it had been running
successfully. However when I tried to run it today it came up with an error
