I have a customer that has the winroute program installed
on her machine, she uses this machine to assign IP
addressed to her other clients in her office much like a
DHCP server, this in turns forwards requests from the

Have cable modem.  Normally used for internet, and one email account.
Another ISP, have to connect via telco modem, then collect my email from
that ISP mail account.  Use USR 5686E (V.92) external modem via com 1 for
that account connection.

I copied some excel files to a windows server 2003 from a
windows 98 machine.  When the users acces the files they
come up as read only.  I checked the security and opened
it up.  That did not work.

Thanks for the reply. Here is what I found so far. Startup
was set at "selective". System.ini and startup group were
checked. All others could neither be checked or unchecked,
i.e. they are a faint green color. When I hit the

My IBM desktop has been freezing.  Then, when I try to
restart it, nothing happens.  The tower is silent, the
screen is black.  If I let it set for a couple of hours,

CDs. It will autostart data CDs with autofun.inf
files just fine, but no audio CDs autoplay.
