Just want to know if *most* AV-firewall packages insist on dialling-up
for pattern updates on their own schedules.  I've only had experience with
Trend's PC-cillin 2000, which, though it has no firewall, in general gave me
good service and would connect with their download ...

Am considering a clean install of W98SE and would welcome some advice:
1)  Have recently installed a new/additional hard drive and it would be easy
to free for a W98SE clean install.
2)  Is it possible to do this with the original/W98SE hard drive still

I just bought 256MB SDRAM, and I put it in my computer and Windows is only registering as 128MB, no matter what slot I install the RAM into...is there anything I can do about this

I recently downloaded a program to clean up the registry
