I installed a USB port adapter.  Windows recognized and
installed the necessary drivers and all seems to be find.  
The  problem is that whenever I plug anything into the USB

Help.  I installed XP Home onto my computer and was not
happy with it at all.  In an attempt to restore Windows
98, I ran my restore cd which appeared to be working

None of my control panel or windows help icons open the
appropriate window.  For example, in control panels, if I
click on add/remove program absolutely nothing happens.  I
cannot change any settings.  Otherwise windows works
