After 5 years of defraging my computer, I suddenly got a
box that popped up when the defragmenting got to 4% that
read "Windows cannot defrag this drive (drive C) because
it contains errors that must be repaired. Click HELP,

I have Win98 and when I shut down it automatically
restarts itself and before you ask it was on shutdown...

A co-worker's system (Gateway WIN98SE) came up with :
"a fatal exception OE has occurred at 0028:BFF88112"

what it is. Seems to be a binary file address. Dunno why

How do I upgrade from 98 to 98 SE?  I have been all over
the microsoft web site and can't find the answer.  Please
someone help!!

It would be really nice if someone can tell me how to get
rid of those annoying captions that pop up every time I
place the mouse over an application in the taskbar in
win98se. Those are quite distracting and useless to me.

While having problems with my video card my taskbar turned
black and does not work properly.  The loaded programs
icons on the right side seem ok but the windows start
button on the left side does not activate the menu.  Also,

I inadvertantly copied some Win98se Upgrade files on to a
computer running Win98.
Most of the problems were solved by a reinstall of Win98
from the dos prompt.

I accidently hit "16 colors" instead of "16 bit color"
