I am trying to install Windows 98SE. I just had a new motherboard and processor installed, and they had to wipe the hard drive to do it. I told them I would install Windows 98 myself, because they charge 50 dollars for it.

i get an error message on my display: SAVE caused an invalid page fault in module KERNEL32.DLL at 0167:bff7a4b2. This comes up every time i start the system, any ideas on how to fix this.

(Windows 98) I reformatted my C disk. I backed up data on a floppy disk, but when restoring found the data to be no good. Also saved the data file to CD. When I tried to open that data file, got this message:

I was trying to install a pci sound card but never could get it to work, probably had the wrong drivers. Since then I have installed a different sound card and I have gotten it to work properly. The sound card isn't my problem
