Can anyone tell me what the file ressource DLL might be? On my Win
98se PC with an Athlon processor I get a pop up window that tells
me...."Cannot initialize ressource DLL. Press OK to Exit" when I open
various programs.

When my computer was starting up one morning a screen
popped up and by moving the mouse I accidentally hit one
of the buttons and didn't get to see what the screen was.  
Ever since then everything on my computer has been HUGE...

Have been getting alot of port scans reported on my
Sygate firewall. All minor and all blocked. Got the
firewall set to block everything in and out except IE and
that is set only as a client.

i am trying to install windows 98 on a pc but the pc
keeps telling me that there is a missing file called dll
file/msvcrt.dll does any one know what this is

Why would my computer start searching for GMT.exe during startup?  The error
message says "The item GMT.exe that this shortcut points to has been changed
or moved.  The nearest match, based on size, date and type, is C:\Program
Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\MSINFO\MSINFO32.exe ...

My system (Win 98) freezes almost every time the system
has been standing idle for a while. Sometimes the system
will have rebooted itself and will be on the "Networking
Password" screen. I've disabled the screensaver. I've also

The display date always reverts back to 4th January 1980
at start-up - the time remains correct. Please advise.

Over the past few weeks I've been getting a "stop"
or "forbidden" symbol (a circle with a slash through it)
that keeps me from using the system until it goes away
which takes a variable amount of time.  I can't find any

How can I prevent someone else from using my computer when
I'm not around? Windows Log On doesn't seem to do
anything. That is, if somebody doesn't know the password
when the machine starts up, they can just click "Cancel"
