The Display settings wont hold the 256 colour setting. It
automatically flips back to 16 on restart.This follows
some corruption from having to turn off by power switch in
frozen safe mode. Any comments are welcome.

I understand how to disable items shown in the startup list (run,
msconfig, startup, regedit, etc., etc.); however, how do I permanently
remove them from the listing under startup? Once these items are

I have a Dell Computer running WIN98se and use a USB
device - an HP ScanJet 4200C.  I've used this scanner for
over 2 years with no problems.  All of a sudden it quit

I'm trying to load windows 98 onto a newly purchase
computer. After configuring the control panel and etc., I
reboot as told. Once rebooted during intialization I

An icon has come up on my screen saying hardcore wont go
to the recycle bin,it said that it cant be deleted because
it says it is run under windows,i never down loaded it & i

First of all, Microsoft sucks!!  Their online support is
nil and their website is one big circle jerk for anyone
trying to get assistance if your software came with your
PC.
