WIN 98SE; Inserted new wireless card.  On boot, I got two
beeps and the following:

I had a virus infection on my computer which I cleaned up
using anti-virus software.  The virus infection made
Internet explorer 5.5 corrupt.  When I tried to re-install
Microsoft Internet explorer 6.1 after that and re-started

Is it possible to rename 'Your Favorites' folder to 'Your
Favourites'?  If so, how do I do this?

Is there any way (registry hack, etc) that I can remove
the cancel button from the logon screen that allows users
to bypass using a password?

Missing krnl386.exe file and system goe to turn off
computer now.?  I booted on a norton 2003 and scanned the
computer and no virus.  Any clues?  Thanks

1.  Dial-up disconnects every time I print.
2.  No display when I click on Volume Control.
3.  When I click "next" in Windows Help or click the
button for "Web Help", all I get is a blank white page.

I have an IBM 600e laptop (366 mhz, 160 ram) with win 98se.  I created a
startup disk using create disk in add/remove programmes.  I then attempted
to boot from floppy.  When a:/> came up, I typed in win but instead of going
into windows I got "CDR101: Not ready reading drive F".

Our deskop froze after the power was turned off to the
computer.  Now the screen is black and the icons show up
with the windows logo and we cannot open them.  The only
way to open a file is to go to the run and browse option,

On an old win98 166Mhz,The com posrts don't seem to work.How do I check them and maybe get drivers for them?These were old donated computers[2] that were on a network.I can't even open the back.I think I have to bend something in the back to open.They work fine for internet  ...

I get a message that system.ini was deleted and I have no

When I start Windows 98, the text and icons on my desktop
are much too large.  I have tried everything I can think
of from the Settings and Display menu.  Nothing works.

I changed my resolution settings and now when i turn the
pc on i can hear windows 98 loading and the music but i
get a screen saying ' fequency out of range' what is this
and how do i fix it please. when this appears it then
