Memory usage in W9512 Jun 2004 14:59 GMT5
This is an old laptop loaded with W95 OSR2 as originally designed.
It has only 16 MB RAM and with basically nothing running but W95, it
seems to be using nearly 100 % of available RAM. Years ago I ran W95 on
a desktop with 32 MB and never had resource problems. Is this normal

We have Win98 SE which in March 04, we found a lot of
virus, sypbot, and adware problems, which were completely
cleane off.  Anti-virus software is now running and is
beeing updated.

When I'm using an internet, I usually get blue screen saying error at 0167:BFF74587 and my computer shuts down or explorer gets off. What can I do????

For anyone that wants to know, I was able to install a Dell Optiplex
G1 Pentium 2 (400 MHz) running Windows 98, as a wireless
computer on a little home network.  It realizes full Internet speed
available on cable through the router (Approximately 3000 Kbps

I have a PnP cd R/RW drive that I bought and installed on
to my Windows 98 computer.  Works fins as a CD reader, but
is not recognized by the NERO burning software.  Appears as

My friend has Microsoft 98 and her start menu is now
vertical. She does not know how she got it this way but
she wants to make it horizontal again. Have any ideas on

I am running some communication software which reads/writes files and
transfers them through the internet in very small bursts.  If I open an
MS-DOS prompt and give it focus, my communications program slows to a snails
pace.  A file transfer which normally takes 6 seconds becomes 30 ...

page and I cannot find a way to rid myself of this awful
