Windows 98 all of a sudden when it was turned on, began to
function as if it was being setup for the first time, and
is asking for the key code. It will not go into safe mode.

exception 0E. and the shut down stops till any key is

I am having a problem when shutting down windows 98. The
computer hangs forever on the page 'Windows is shutting
down' how do I correct this problem.

What causes the CD tray to open about three seconds after
turning on the PC? If I close the tray manually it reopens
in three seconds.

The C:\WINDOWS\assembly  folder is dated within 10 minutes of
installing the Greeting Card Factory Deluxe ver. 3  program. The
folder is 25MB. A sub-folder GAC contains a slew of folders,
including Accessibility, MSJscript, Microsoft.VisualBasic. All

I cannot get online all of a sudden. I am using a dial-up
connection. Every time I try to get on line my modem goes
through the motion and when the PC is logging on I get a
RAS error 695 The solution that is in the FAQ from

If I select a sub-set through the "Find" option in Windows
Can I <copy> the resultant images to an independent file?

I have a notebook travelmate 520 , the ide channel is damage, i
connect a USB hard drive and i want to install win98.
I found the right DOS driver and map the USB hard drive to C:\
I start the windows installation
