HI. I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me
out with this issue. My old computer had Windows 98 SE.
My daughter is now using the computer and has been trying

Initially I was going to post about opening IE....the only way I can
open an IE window without an illegal operation / closing window message is
to click on the inbox email link in MSN Messenger. My quick launch link and

The "Accessories" folder containing shortcuts to System Tools,
Notepad, etc., has disappeared from my Startup Menu. I do prune the
Startup Menu occasionally, since unnecessary items tend to sneak in

I could have sworn I had W 98 SE as my OS, but it's not
indicated anywhere I've looked. Can anyone tell me how to
get the SE upgrade/update? I can't find it in the Windows

W98se/IE6 SP-1/ Updated to the max.
Every so often when I click on Start>Windows Update, I get the Google
Toolbar Page, yet the URL remains as http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/.
This has happened perhaps 4 times in the past two years. The same has

I have W98SE.
Windows Explorer isn't showing in Task Manager but its apparently still running
because I have its functionality and tool bars, etc.
RUNDLL32 is now in Task Manager. I don't think it was there before.
