I DON'T know what happened... but as of 2 days ago... I cannot log on to any secure site. Not Hotmail, Yahoo email... nothing. I have run 2 diff virus scans, deleted all files in temp and Temporary Internet Files... SSL 2.0

I have an older 98 SE PC. I did an FDISK.. deleted the partition, tried to re-install the OS again and it keeps getting to the verifying DMI pool data screen and then it freezes up. Any Suggestions? Thanks

Have a 98SE that gets these errors after logging in: WscGetProviderPath failed returning WSAEPROVIDERFAILEDUNIT This comes up twice followed by Illegal operation window for Rundll32, followed by illegal operation for Explorer.
