W98. Person noticed memory only showing 32 instead of 64.
Took out memory & reinserted. Now when hit power button,
it won't stop beeping & nothing will come up on the
monitor. Tried putting in each memory stick by itself in
win98se all-in-one patch26 Jul 2004 22:04 GMT2
Is there an all-in-one patch that I can download to bring
Win98SE up-to-date?

I go to turn on my pc, and then screen doesn't turn on.  
Then the computer starts to beep at me.  It's not the
monitor (I tried my PC hooked up to a different
monitor).  I am running Windows 98, with a Pentium 2, 64

If my PC boots into Win98SE, it aften freezes when desktop
icons are clickes, or the start button stays depresed and
frozen. I've tried Spybot and Adaware, I use Nortons 2004.

Something got into my system.  Using Spybot and Ad-Aware I
got rid of it but not before it changed the Start Menu.  
There is no longer a shut Down command on the Start Menu,
just Log-Off.  I have to shut off the computer to shut

I've lost my dial-up access on WIN98SE.
When I click on the dial-up icon I get the error
message: "This program has performed and illegal operation

I don't know what happened but I lost my F drive. It
doesn't show up in my computer or Nero my burning program
The drive is a CD-R. I can't even open it.

Bit of a basic question, but how would someone change the
default program used to open a particular file type in
Windows 98? (I'm used to doing it in XP, but need to
advise a friend who's running 98).

Some time ago I installed a game; then I uninstalled it  but here is

in the Control Panel it changed the standard Windows icon of the
