I have backed up my drive several time but it doesn't work
when I want to transfer to XP Home ... how can i do this
so that I don't lose my present programs. I do my backups
to another hdd but I can't get XP to accept the tranfer?

I am having problems with text on the menu in Picture It!

Two problems w/ a buddy's  Dell Win98sSE PC:
1)    will reliably retain passwords, e.g., isp and log on

I'm using Windows XP and sending a CD of Pictures to a
friend who had Windows 98. In XP, inserting the disk
brings up the option of viewing with the Fax Viewer. How

I can't view in the thumbnail mode. I tried right
clicking-properties-thumbnail, then going to that folder clicking on View
and mark Thumbnail. It will not show the folder in the thumbnail mode. I

My brand new PC is going into the shop for fixing
(factory defect)so I decided to pull out my trusty friend
