I have created a dual-boot system witn Win 98SE and XP.  I
would like to have XP use the same custom background image
I am using on SE, but I can't seem to find out where it's
stored in 98SE so that I can copy it to the XP OS.

For several days now, when I try to pull up websites with
images or .pdf formated images, the computer shows that
the pictures or pages are loading, then indicates "Done";
but all I get is a little square with a red X in it.  What

I have a computer running Windows 98.  It also has Office
97 Pro.  Frequently, when you open a Word document and
type in any character, the computer shuts down and
restarts (no error mssages or warning, screen just goes

Here is something really wierd.
Using a standard Win98 se setup on a standard desktop PC with 512mb ram and
a 750mhz  AMD duron processor 20gb HDD
After opening, modifying and re-saving a JPG image using the SAVE AS tab, I

during reboot a line is on top that say error config.sys
line 2 corrupt.  whould this have anything to do with my
usb's not responding?

Well now I have re-installed windows and used  my backup

I have a laptop I recently formatted and re-installed
win98SE as well as officexp.  I have been trying to
install language support (Japanese) to be able to type as
well as read in Japanese but to no avail.

Every time I start the Win 98 file Explorer I cant see
contents of the drive. I can see the C:\ as an icon on the
left pane of the screen but nothing further in the
directory tree displays under it... Got me stumped... Any
