Well, in case it's of use to anyone who can't get the  hosts  file read by
their system.  My hosts file and no-ads.pac java DUN auto configuration
script are BOTH working, and unless I'm mistaken it was all down to my ISP's
proxy server  / setting in my DUN connection requiring that ...

i am having alot of trouble upgrading from win 98... i
tried it a few times, the last time was last night.
i got a dialog box that said there was a missing file and

I had a virus and I erased windows 98se and when I
reinstalled it I have no sound and only 16 colors. How do
I get back my sound and at least 256 colors?

Does anyone know of anything that might cause the system
date to be changed? McAfee online virus scan did not
