I want to be able to display filenames and whatnot in
Japanese. I downloaded and installed both the Japanese
global IME and the Japanese language pack, but filenames
are still garbled characters. Is there any way I can get

I have a windows98 pavilion pc and it will not accept the
toolbar set up from e-bay.  It says I have to have a      
Windows 98SE, how do I get my pc to accept the toolbar?

This message comes up on boot and that is as far as it
goes, just a green screen with a pointer. Was trying to
reinstall SB live.....and now it appears dead

When starting COMPAQ PC there is a loud BEEP followed by a
series of MSDOS scripting (too fast to read), it then trys
to boot only to fail and remain in DOS with a C prompt.  
There is a message saying that there is a problem running

I have too many passwords and usernames to remember.
Is there a utility to manage this?

I cannot access the users guide for Zone Alarm from their
website. every time I try, all I get is a blank page. Then
my computer freezes and I have to reboot. I have the
program saved to My Documents but don't want to use it

I have a trojan.  ZoneAlarm brought my attention to it, but
neither Avast or AdAware found it ...  :-(

I accidentally deleted my profile in Windows 98 and
totally forgot that my important files were there. I've
tried dozens of file recovery tools but they could not
recover any file.

I canno get my close program dialog box to run.  
CTRL+ALT+DELETE isn't working at all.  I hit it and
nothing happens.  So when I have a program that is
freezing, there is nothing I can do and I lose my work.

My computer will check the "A" drive on statup or
shutdown.  The A drive does work.  I cannot run McAfee
emergency disk from a cold boot.  Any help? thank you!

Pops up all the time. Says Microsoft internet explorer at
top of box, with yellow explination.

All of a sudden, out of the blue, Win98SE does not find my CD drive at boot
up.  The boot sequence loads MSCDEX but then gives an error "CD Drive not
found".
IDE cable is in tight and drive works (CD door opens and closes).

I have a strange issue that has me stumped...  I cannot double click
files to open them from the desktop or from My Computer.  The
work-around is to right click on all files, then select "Open".

Any ideas; no sound when windows starts, cd played and no
sound.   Checked all wiring and wiring ok.  In addition
upon checking help and checking no sound in "Help" all I
