my friend seems to have following problem:
"My computer is messed up,,,,,,,,,,I dont think it has anything to do with
coneection.......Ive been trying to get my Norton to come up  and the damn
box pops up but it is blank........i compaqed all files while off

Can someone pls tell me some ways to speed up my system?
win98, hsi cble, pent2 and thats all I know. I have a

I understand how to disable items in the startup tab using Msconfig, but in

My desktop computer screen on startup appears to startup
normally only to end up at a Windows 98 Setup screen each
time.  How do I get out of this?  In safe mode this

My kids PC won't boot using 98SE, and it seems to be because these two files
(at least) are missing :-( I'm trying to get the beast going to grab some
files before using the vendor-supplied recovery CDs to zap the disk - there
doesn't seem to be an option to reinstall or repair the ...

I just got a computer from someone and when I click on
start the Log Off selection has their name on it.
Is there any way to remove or change that name??

After starting up when I click on any program to open I
find a black screen pops up behind and disappear very
quickly and computer does not do any thing and remains in

i right click on my computer properties it says i have
windows 98 second edition but whene i click on the start
menu the text that supposed says windows 98 second edition
just says windows 98

delete, how do I know which programs I can close or not
close, and how do I make them stay closed?
