I have a number of WORKS files stored on my computer and
suddenly I am unable to open them. Am getting a
message "cannot find msworks.exe". Never had this problem
before. Could it be related to a Microsoft recommended

I cannot open the Help Files from the Start Button or in
IE6.When I click the Help buttons I receive the message
Cannot open the file %systemroot%\help\windows.chm.
Can you tell me how to the problem?

When I boot up my system I get the following error:  
Error Starting Program - The MCVSMAP.EXE file is linked
to missing export WININET.DLL Internet read file ExA.
Could someone send me info. on how to fix this problem??

When I startup Windows, the MS Office Tools window opens
at the end of the sequence. I am using Win98SE.
I went to Msconfig and unchecked the box that appears next
to it. but the window still opens.

A friend of mine has a computer he bought from Dell, with Windows NT
on it.  He now wants to get rid of NT and load 98.  He reformatted and
loaded 98 but when 98 attempts to start it shows an error message,
something about VFAT not accessible.  I'm guessing there are some old

the maximum amount of ram for a Windows 98 workstation,
and if windows actually uses more then 128k?

Hi all again,
I'm still having trouble getting the driver from micro's site, I d/loaded
the wrong one according to the file that I executed this morning.
At the site they have 4 photos of keyboards and i picked mine out and

An unknown "X" is on my desktop.  It just showed up out of
no where.  It's red with a square box around it.  When I
click on it, the box turns grey and the "x" stays red in

whenever I try to go on a site with java stuff on it

I've recently upgraded my memory from 192Mb to 512Mb (old
memory removed). Now when I start up Windows loads, the
desktop appears and I can start any program, but about 5
min after start up the computer cuts out then immediately
